Red Dragon Best Design Award 2019 & New Product Showcase
To encourage the innovation of diving equipment, the ‘Red Dragon Best Design Award’ is presented annually during DRT SHOW Hong Kong. Over 20 cutting-edge products will be displayed this year and visitors are welcome to vote for their favourite product. Top three products will be awarded on the last day of the event.
Professional Seminars
Over 40 professional seminars regarding scuba diving, freediving, technical diving, underwater photography & videography, mermaid, diving destination, diving equipment, marine biology and environmental conservation are scheduled. 25 experts are giving splendid talks to share their experiences and to interact with the audience face-to-face.
Asia Hall of Fame
To honour the role models’ contribution to the Asian diving industry, DRT SHOW has established ‘Asia Hall of Fame’ and awarded 9 excellent diving professionals at DRT SHOW Hong Kong since 2014.
Ocean Culture Fair
Hong Kong is famed as a shopping paradise. DRT SHOW Hong Kong, where you can find various products from professional diving gear to marine-related boutiques, is also a perfect shopping spot for all dive lovers to prepare Christmas presents.
Ocean Movie Festival
The screening and discussion of film ‘Breathing Room’ will be scheduled during event dates. ‘Breathing Room’ is a documentary about the declining Chinese White Dolphins in Hong Kong. The film discusses the implications of habitat loss due to continuous coastal developments for these iconic pink dolphins. It received a Gold Remi Award at the 52nd annual Worldfest Houston International Film Festival (Category - Oceanography / Marine Biology) and was on the shortlisted for the Young Talents Category of the 2018 Innsbruck Nature Film Festival and for the 2019 International Nature Film Festival Gödöllő, was nominated for a Special Jury: Foreign Language Honor in the 2019 Jackson Wild Media Awards and was an Official Selection of the 2019 Wildlife Conservation Film Festival.
